My Favorite Play Dough Recipe

This recipe is great! It is easy to do, it saves money and it lasts for months!
Let me warn you... you will get quite a workout in one arm as you stir it. But it is well worth it.

Cooked Play dough Recipe:

4 Cups Flour
2 Cups Salt
4 Tablespoons of Cream of Tarter (in spice section of grocery stores)
4 Cups of Water (add a few drops of food coloring into the water)
2 Tablespoons vegetable oil

Combine dry ingredients, slowly add water and oil. Cook over medium heat, stirring until stiff. Let cool and knead. Store in zip-lock bag or plastic container, so it won't dry out!

You can add food coloring or glitter, at the preschool I worked for we used to add different scents for the time of year. Fall-pumpkin spice, Holidays-peppermint, Cinnamon, Valentine's Day-Cocoa. Dye it green for St. Patrick's Day etc...

Get out your cookie cutters, toy rolling pin, old plastic lids, mini tractors, bulldozers, hard plastic animals to make foot prints, etc... get creative as to what to make and what toys to use while playing with the play dough.

Your children will be entertained for a good period of time!

This play dough is non-toxic as you can see it is made of all consumable ingredients. It is not very tasty unless you like lots of salt!

Have Fun! Play with your kids during this table time activity.
